Build your own Copilot agent on your own files
If your company has Microsoft 365, you can build a simple agent that answers questions based on your own documents – without code.
Microsoft offers two routes: Agent Builder in the Microsoft 365 Copilot app for quick agents for yourself or a small team, and Copilot Studio for more advanced workflows and connectors.
According to Microsoft’s documentation, Agent Builder suits e.g. a bot that answers questions from the team’s SharePoint files or emails.
Microsoft 365 Copilot for business costs USD 30 per user per month according to Make, and includes Copilot Studio for internal use.
Copilot Studio agents can also use “computer use” to control programs that lack an API.
How to get started
- Open the Microsoft 365 Copilot app and find Agent Builder.
- Describe the agent: “Answer questions about our prices and terms based on the Quotes folder.”
- Point it to a limited folder – not all of SharePoint.
- Test with 10 common customer questions before sharing with colleagues.
