TipChatGPT free vs Plus: is SEK 249 a month worth it?
ChatGPT comes free, as Go (about SEK 85/month) and as Plus (about SEK 249/month). Here is what you actually get for the money and who needs what.
The free version of ChatGPT gives you access to OpenAI’s models with limited usage. For most people who write emails, summarise texts and ask questions a few times a day, that is enough.
ChatGPT Go costs about SEK 85/month and gives you more usage and longer conversations than the free tier, at a lower price than Plus.
ChatGPT Plus costs about SEK 249/month in Sweden and gives higher limits and access to more advanced models and features. It mainly pays off if you use ChatGPT daily, for example at work.
Rule of thumb: start free, upgrade to Go if you hit the limit, and choose Plus only when you need the features. Prices are for individuals in October 2026 and may change – always check OpenAI’s pricing page.
How to get started
- Note how often you hit the free-tier limit during a week.
- Rarely? Stay on free.
- Often, but you only use the chat? Try Go.
- Need advanced features every day? Plus. Cancel when you are not using it.
