Strawberry 1.0: Swedish AI browser where AI colleagues do the work in your tabs, free to try
Stockholm company Strawberry has released version 1.0 of its AI browser and left beta. AI assistants, which it calls companions, can research, write drafts, summarise meetings and run tasks on a schedule in the apps you are already signed in to. There is a free plan with 500 credits a month. Here is how to get started safely.
On 26 October 2026 Stockholm company Strawberry released version 1.0 of its browser, the program you browse the web with, like Chrome or Safari. The difference is that Strawberry has built-in AI assistants that it calls companions. They are agents, meaning AI that does not just answer but also does things for you, and they work in your normal tabs and accounts.
A companion can, for example, find candidates for a job, build sales lists, write a follow-up email or make images and slide decks in your company’s style. It can record and summarise meetings in Google Meet, Zoom and Teams without a bot joining, and run routines on a schedule, like summarising your inbox at nine. In version 1.0 you can hire one of nine ready-made companions, such as Sales Sally for sales or Talent Theo for recruiting.
Strawberry was founded in 2023, has 12 employees according to Tech.eu and is backed by General Catalyst and EQT Ventures, among others. The company says it competes more with ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini than with other browsers. Users include Lovable and Tandem Health.
Browsing is always free. Credits are only used when a companion helps. The free plan gives 500 credits a month with no card needed. Paid plans cost 20 dollars (6,000 credits), 85 dollars (25,000) and 250 dollars (75,000) a month. Unused monthly credits do not roll over, but top-ups bought at 0.01 dollars per credit do. A team gets three free seats. Strawberry says it does not train AI on your content.
Good to know: an assistant signed in to your email and apps can make mistakes with real consequences. Let it write drafts that you send yourself until you trust it, and only connect the apps you need. If you record meetings, tell the other participants. - Keep an eye on your credits in account settings before choosing a paid plan.
